Who You Are Dealing With
This site and the telephone line behind it are run from 22 Sutton Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD17 2QF (07403 690769) under the name Watford Emergency Plumber and Boiler Repair. By ringing, texting or filling in a form you agree to these terms, which explain what the line does and where its responsibility stops.
A Booking Line, Not a Trade Business
Our job is to answer the phone and find you help. When you describe a fault, we note the details and the address, then look for an independent plumbing and heating company in our partner network that can reach you and suits the problem. We employ nobody who comes to your home, and we do not ourselves repair pipes, clear drains, work on gas or fit boilers or bathrooms.
Your Contract Is With the Partner Company
The company that attends is a separate, independently owned business. When it agrees to take your job, the agreement for the work is between you and that company. It assesses the problem, writes its own quote, carries out the work and bills you itself. Any guarantee that comes with the work is that company's, on the terms it gives you.
Money
No payment passes through us. We do not collect deposits, take card details, issue invoices or add fees. Whatever is due for a repair, service, installation or call-out is paid to the partner company under the terms of its quote. If you have a question about a bill, start with that company.
Quotes, Prices and Timings
Prices are set by the partner company, once it has looked at the fault, and are given to you in writing before work begins. We do not give a price or promise an arrival time on the site or on the phone. Before you agree, ask the company to explain its quote, and in particular any extra charge for evenings, weekends or bank holidays.
If Something Goes Wrong
Raise it with the partner company first, because it did the work and can usually put it right fastest. If that does not settle matters, ring 07403 690769 and we will help chase it. We cannot guarantee an outcome, since the work and the contract belong to the partner company, but we will follow it up with them for you.
Limits on Our Responsibility
Our part is limited to taking your enquiry and arranging the match, so far as the law allows. We are not answerable for the quality of a partner company's work, its prices, its timekeeping or how it behaves. Nothing here reduces the rights you have under UK consumer law, which cannot be signed away.
What the Website Is and Is Not
Pages here describe how the booking line works and the area it covers. They are general information about Watford, Bushey, Croxley Green and Oxhey, not a survey, a diagnosis or a quote for your property, and any cost ranges are indications only. If you suspect a gas escape, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 before anything else.
What Happens to Your Details
When you contact us, we share your name, telephone number, address and a description of the fault with the partner company we match you to, so it can arrange a visit and do the work. We use your details only for that match and for following up if you get in touch about a job that has been done.
Updating These Terms
We may change these terms as the service develops. The version shown here is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Carrying on using the site or the line after a change means you accept the revised terms.
